Riner is just 27 years old, and already a movie has been made about his life. It showed recently at the Cannes Film Festival and detailed his journey to becoming the top judoka in the world. Riner is the only person in history to win eight world championships - including 2013 in Rio - and also has five European titles. Riner dominated at the London Games in 2012 to win his fifth gold medal, increasing his already huge celebrity in France and led to the movie Riner said he's using as motivation for Rio. All of his eight career defeats have come in international competition, including at the Beijing Games in 2008 when he had to settle for bronze. Riner hasn't lost since Sept. 13, 2010, winning each of his 103 matches since. Not only does his size intimidate most competitors, but Riner's long list of accomplishments make him the favorite to capture another gold in Rio.
